The Mary F. Clancy Charities works year-round to help those in need.

Thanksgiving is a particularly busy time for us as we work to provide nutritious family-sized turkeys to families so they can celebrate the holiday. In 2017, the MFCC distributed 300 12—14 lb. turkeys to families, churches, and organizations such as Kennedy House and Our Lady of Tolentine Outreach Center. In addition, we provided groceries to 6 individual families to help them fill their pantries.

We were thrilled to donate a dozen turkeys to the Bronx VA Hospital so that veteran in-patients could enjoy a full Thanksgiving meal with their visiting families.

During the Christmas season, the MFCC provides sheets and blankets, towels,clothing andwinter coats to people in need from local parishes in the Bronx as well as those residing in Abraham House. On average, each family receives approximately $300 in new items and gifts. In addition to warm necessities for families during Christmastime, the MFCC partnered with McDermott’s Restaurant (Bronx) to provide toys to the Bronx PBA, Kennedy Home, and Abraham House. The children were elated and their parent(s) relieved that Santa didn’t forget them.
